The EmberArresta™ Gutter Outlet & or Downpipe valves are designed to protect your property from Ember Attack from bushfires. Embers from bush fires can travel up to 3 kilometres ahead of an approaching fire front and by installing EmberArresta™ valves to your guttering or downpipes, you can easily add another valuable tool to your fire defence kit.

More than 80 per cent of homes are lost to ember attack and resulting ‘fine fuel’ ignition of debris in the guttering and other fuels lying around your property.

With these valves, you can help prevent ‘fine fuel’ ignition in guttering and reduce the incidence of any fires starting in your roof space, verandas, patio or attic. They can also protect your stored water supply and water tanks from contamination caused by soot, ash and fire retardants.

Available in both 90 mm and 75 mm, these valves can easily fit almost any sized or shaped outlets – directly to most gutter outlets or as an inline valve – allowing your guttering to be filled to a safe level with water before the approaching threat of fire or ember attack.

UV tested and ultrasonically welded, all components are made with food grade materials and lubricants, making it safe to use with stored water supplies. Its unique sliding seal can easily be opened and closed early in preparation for fire by anyone without using a ladder in adverse conditions. You can also use optional Radiant Heat Shields to protect your EmberArresta™ valves if there is flammable material or vegetation close by.

Entry is open to all domestic and international brands available in the Australian consumer marketplace.

Products must be commercially available on the Australian market and comply with all applicable Australian standards and regulatory requirements prior to entry. Prototypes or products still undergoing trials are ineligible to enter.

Entries are assessed utilising a robust and dynamic framework to ensure that the assessment process is pertinent and objective. The World Business Awards Framework (WBA Framework) is utilised as a structured model of assessment that enables the participating organisations to be benchmarked against world class performance standards. The Framework consists of specialised assessment modules pertaining to the evaluation criteria for each of the award categories. The criteria and sub-criteria provide a robust set of requirements that are used as the methodology for benchmarking and learning among the participating organisations.

The Australian Brand Awards are the regional chapter of an integrated, hierarchical leadership program conducted on a national and international level. Eligible organisations from each region are invited to participate in the international chapter of the program at The World Brand Awards. Conducted annually and currently in its inaugural year, the awards has been established to honour the most innovative consumer brands by recognising their most innovative consumer products.
