EGO Power Plus Backpack Link Battery Harness
EGO Power Plus Backpack Link Battery Harness has been selected as an ABA100® Winner for Product Innovation in The Australian Brand Awards 2019. The Australian Brand Award for Product Innovation [PIA] recognises innovative consumer products offering a point of difference from their competitors.
Chervon Trading Co was founded in 1993. It specialises in researching, developing, manufacturing, testing, sales and after-sale services for cordless power tools, outdoor power equipment and related product categories. As a business which produces environmentally friendly products, aimed to replace combustion engine outdoor power equipment, it is important for Chervon to minimise negative environmental impact and enforce low carbon practices across its operations.
Some of the key elements in the company’s on-going commitment to minimise environmental impact and low-carbon practises include, a green roof garden system, which is a 7000 square metre rooftop of Chervon’s R&D Centre in Nanjing China; a 2MW (20,000m2) roof photovoltaic power station at Chervon Industrial Park; a Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) and air conditioning chilled water storage system at Chervon’s $220 million USD New Energy Park, which covers 448 acres.
The new EGO POWER+ Backpack Link adds more run time to EGO tools. Connecting the Backpack Link to any handheld EGO tool reduces fatigue, while providing proper support to accomplish any landscaping task. It is constructed with padded shoulder straps, a chest buckle and hook and designed to carry the weight of the battery on your back not on the tool. Battery harnesses have been available for many years however the biggest issue for users in the past has been that they normally incorporate a battery, making them cost prohibitive and restrictive in the range of products they can be used with. The brief was to create a unit that allows both DIY and commercial users to purchase at a reasonable price, but being able to offer all the benefits of a high end product, such as design features, comfort and performance.
The Backpack Link Battery Harness can be used with the entire range of EGO hand held products to extend run time but reduce fatigue by taking the weight of the battery off the unit and onto the battery harness, which is evenly distributed across the user’s back, through an ergonomically designed harness.
EGO launched their first 56V cordless product in late 2014 to the Australian Market. EGO engineers have continued to develop, improve and expand the range, utilising the same proven ARC Lithium-Ion system, meaning batteries remain completely interchangeable between all EGO Power Plus products.
