Kinetic Education

Kinetic Education Maths and English Wiz has been selected as an ABA100® Winner for Product Innovation in The Australian Brand Awards 2024. The Australian Brand Award for Product Innovation [PIA] recognises innovative products that offer a point of difference from their competitors.

Kinetic Education Pty Ltd/M-Bytes Pty Ltd is an Australian family business based in Victoria, which has been developing and marketing innovative home-tutoring software for the past 23 years. The distinguishing feature of the program is that it embraces the latest technology and pedagogy and is backed up by friendly tutors and mentors to ensure the children keep up the good work. The company is proud to have helped thousands of schoolchildren (at all year levels) enjoy and master Mathematics and English skills – thus raising their confidence and widening their career options.

It has always been my ambition to make the programs affordable to all. Internet/cloud technology now makes it possible. A family with two children can have in-depth tuition (in Maths and English) for only $29 to $49 per week, depending on age. They learn at home, at their own pace, whenever they need or wherever they are.

This is an Australian endeavour founded by Mary (nuclear physicist and maths teacher) and Bharat (computer programmer and systems analyst) Sanghvi. Today, their sons, Jonathan and William, manage the business. All four have relevant university degrees and a passion for helping young people enjoy learning and succeed at school.

The Kinetic Education interactive teaching, testing and revision programs cater for all learning styles and abilities. The programs support the school curriculum and provide instant feedback and instruction for each question. The program is combined with a diagnostic assessment tool, which identifies knowledge gaps and designs a personal tuition program. The system also feeds the next appropriate activity to the student based on their results, which allows the user to be self-paced. The Weekly Lesson Plan is on display so that students know exactly what to do and can “do their Kinetic” with confidence. Parents can also track their child’s progress with the Weekly Reports.

Math questions have fully worked solutions, which appear automatically if the answer is wrong. Thus, students are not tempted to guess straight away, instead of seeing how to do it. They can also view the solution step by step, which is a vital part of the learning process. It paves the way to understanding the steps involved and learning to think in logical steps.

Maths Doctor® is a diagnostic tool developed in-house by M-BytesPty Ltd. New students must do the diagnostic before starting the Kinetic Education course. It identifies knowledge gaps and designs a personal tuition program. This profile is fed into Maths Wiz® to ensure that students are working comfortably at their level. It is updated weekly and opens automatically, so students always know what to do.

Students also have an assigned tutor checking up on them and a team of tutors and mentors to assist when needed. Kinetic Education also provides parents with guidance on how to help support their children’s academic success. With Kinetic Education, every family has an introductory training session with their allotted mentor to give them a good start.

As children learn on both the Maths Wiz and English Wiz programs, they earn points. Children can use these points for real prizes such as store vouchers. This is a great incentive to make them do their Kinetic Homework.

Ongoing R&D is essential to keep pace with an ever-changing technology environment. The company’s programmers, technicians, authors, graphics artists and consultants are forever designing new and exciting activities. Currently, more than 10,500 Australian families are now actively using the Kinetic Education® Maths Wiz® and English Wiz® programs.
